CPD antennas

Our Company, which main activity is contractual designing, manufacturing, support of electronic devices, development of completely new technologies in the area of laser physics and radio physics, hereby is pleased to forward you the information for consideration of our technology application with the aim to develop antennas on the basis of arrays of controlled passive diffusers for your customers, as well as of their manufacturing in your manufacturing facilities. We are willing to offer you the entirely new technology that can be applied for various types of antennas within extremely wide frequency band ranging from hundreds of megahertz to 10 GHz.  Our technology is completely new and has no analogues.

Our antennas, manufactured in our laboratories, offer a number of the following advantages:
  1. Low production cost - up to 500 USD in the most complete version;
  2. Establishment of required quality communication even in those cases when the relative position of a source and a receiver changes with the course of time;
  3. Automatic formation of distributed wireless networks with multiplicity of nodes;
  4. Correction of communication losses occurring in case of antenna mast deflections due to wind force or other factors;
  5. Minimization of interference source influence on communication quality;
  6. Minimization of adverse influence on communication quality as the result of signal reflections from surrounding objects;
  7. Direction finding to a moving signal source.

Also, our company keeps in possession a number of unique pilot projects in the area of antenna systems on controlled passive diffusers (CPD) (part of them is patented) allowing to conduct efficient development of such systems.

These solutions include:

  1. Methods for calculation and optimization of multi-element antenna arrays on CPD based on parametric models;
  2. Control system architecture of antenna arrays on CPD;
  3. Control algorithms of antenna arrays on CPD;
  4. Communication systems using antennas with CPD.

It should be mentioned that, despite all indicated advantages, antennas with controlled direction patterns have not found yet wide application in wireless communication systems available in the mass market of telecommunication equipment (in WiFi, WiMax, 3G, DTV networks, etc.) Single attempts to create such commercial antenna systems [Vivato] mainly involve the use of antennas with controlled patterns at the base station sides, cases of such antennas use at the network customer side are practically unknown.

The main reason for this situation is the essential cost of such devices conditioned by the high price for SHF elements (phase shifting device, wave-propagating system, etc.) the majority of modern antenna systems with controlled direction diagrams - phased-array antenna - are built on.

Our cost of antenna production in its most complete version may amount to, as it is mentioned above, maximum 500 USD for base stations and maximum 100 USD for customer stations.

See below the indicative view of 2.4 GHz antenna, which we assembled in the laboratory.

Fig. 1 shows antenna's conceptual scheme. The antenna consists of a mirror (a) formed by a three-dimensional array of controlled diffusers and a transceiver element (feeder) (b).

Also, this technology can be applied for circular scanning antennas to use them in restricted space rooms.

The more detailed information about this development is attached hereto in a separate file and contains maximum possible technical information.

Could you, please, give consideration to our technology for development of an industrial prototype and manufacturing of such types of antennas for your applications. Conditions for the co-operation may be various: either partnership or on outsourcing conditions - all kinds of co-operation can be considered. We are prepared to come to your location or send you more detailed information for presentation and more detailed discussion of our development.
